Overview

About renovation

Renovation is fit-out in a home that already has a history. Walls may not be straight, old ceilings may hide old services, and the family may still be living there. Each room has to be opened up, improved and closed again with as little disruption as possible.

Typical projects include opening up or re-dividing rooms, replacing old ceilings with new designs, adding coves and concealed lighting details, repairing and refinishing walls, and repainting throughout.

As with every project, the scope is agreed before work begins. If your renovation also involves kitchens, bathrooms, flooring or MEP, mention it when you get in touch so the quotation is clear about what is included.

Questions

Renovation: frequently asked questions

Can you renovate while we live in the villa?

Yes. The work is phased room by room with protection and dust screens, so the rest of the home stays usable.

How much does a villa renovation cost in Dubai?

It depends entirely on the scope: which rooms, which elements and which finishes. A site visit lets us give you an itemised quotation you can adjust.

Do I need a permit to renovate?

Many communities and buildings require approval from their management before interior works, and structural or MEP changes can need further approvals. Check with your management company early.

Where do we start?

With a site visit. We walk through the property with you, note what you want to change and what needs repair, then follow up with a quotation.
